Celebrating a Year of Community Transformation: Take MAR marks milestone with a focus on upcoming native tree planting initiative

St. Petersburg, FL — Take MAR (More Action for Regeneration) joyfully extends an invitation to the public to partake in an evening of spirited camaraderie at the newly unveiled Spirit Garden, hosted by St. Pete Distillery. Join us on Friday, September 29, from 7-9 p.m., as every contribution propels our Native Tree Planting Phase II initiative along the picturesque Pinellas Trail, with the aim of planting an additional 100 trees.

In a remarkably short time after its inception, Take MAR was able to plant 140 indigenous trees and shrubs along the Pinellas Trail, spanning from 28th Street South to 31st Street South. The upcoming Phase II of this initiative carries this essential work forward, with the ambition of extending the tree canopy from 28th Street South to the intersection of 5th Avenue South and 22nd Street South. This ambitious endeavor seeks to enhance the trail’s natural allure and ecological significance. Through the planting of over 100 native trees, preservation of existing ones, meticulous debris cleanup, and the nurturing of community bonds, this initiative aspires to leave an enduring legacy.

In alignment with our mission, Take MAR welcomes all who are passionate about contributing to this noble cause. Let us come together to not only celebrate our past achievements but to forge a path toward a brighter future. The event promises an evening filled with delectable refreshments, culinary delights, live musical performances, a captivating silent auction, and more!
